Pattaya-area police and soldiers paraded through Walking Street to let people know they’ve heard of human trafficking.

Pattaya and Tourism police joined Chonburi officers and scores of army personnel in the media tour that did nothing except interrupt the evening for tourists and bar workers.

Officers walked the busy street and, flanked by cameras and reporters, claiming they were there to raise awareness about human trafficking. Bar owners were told prison terms ran 4-12 years for those caught trafficking in persons.

After some back-slapping and handshakes, the boys in brown wandered off, leaving everyone to wonder what the point was.
