Drowning Of Toddler Son

Pattaya is still reeling from the fallout of a Jordanian Arab who buckled his toddler son into a stroller and threw it off of the city’s pier.

Wael Nabil Salman Zureikat, 52, was paraded before the media this week by a full slate of top police brass led by spotlight sucker Pol. Lt. Gen. Surachet Hakpal, the Immigration Bureau chief.

“Big Joke” described an angry middle-aged Muslim man whose young thing of a wife coerced him to come to Sin City against his will. The Jordanian Cheap Charlie apparently lost it on March 7, railing to his 24-year-old spouse about the cost of the trip, then slapping her around for good measure.

The argument continued through the next day and, on the evening of March 8, Zureikat took 21-month-old Omar to Bali Hai Pier around 8 a.m., strapped him into the stroller and dropped it in the sea.

The child’s body was found three days later.

Zureikat initially denied any knowledge of what happened to his son, but cracked under interrogation, admitting he killed the boy to get back at his wife and because he never wanted a kid in the first place, Surachet said.

Hysterical mother Adyan Mohammad Mahmoud Badawi collapsed from the loss and was admitted to the psych ward of Chonburi Hospital.
Zureikat meanwhile has been charged with malicious murder.
