Phase 6 Easing Measures Under Discussion

The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration announced more easing measures under “Phase 6” would be discussed and proposed this week.

During a press briefing on Sunday, CCSA spokesman Dr Taweesin Visanuyothin said more restrictions would be eased in the weeks ahead including opening borders to allow migrant workers from neighboring countries to enter Thailand.

Other foreigners being considered for entry are film and TV cast and crews, visitors to trade exhibitions, and holders of Elite Visas who up until now have been locked out of the country despite paying hefty sums for the privilege.

It was also mentioned that a subcommittee of the CCSA, headed by the Secretary-General of the National Security Council, will meet early this week to consider extending the state of emergency.
