Polack Hotel Boss Charged For Waving Gun

Waving a gun in the face of your employees may be standard workplace motivation in Poland, but a Phuket hotel owner learned it doesn’t fly in Thailand.

The unnamed Polack appeared in court was arraigned and granted bail late this week after being arrested Tuesday evening for waving a gun in the face of his manager during an argument over documents.

She went straight to the Patong Police Station, which sent officers to bring him in.

During questioning, the hotel boss denied having a gun, but his dutiful Thai wife contradicted him and told police where it was.

Police also discovered the hotel boss is in Thailand on a tourist visa, so they’re checking how it is he can be owning, and apparently managing, a hotel.

Police investigators said the Pole has been less than cooperative, refusing to discuss the case and removing the memory card from the hotel’s security camera to thwart the investigation. However, police said they have plenty of witnesses, plus the tourist visa, so Lech Far-Lesser won’t be long for the kingdom.
