The ex-husband of a 28-year-old woman shot and killed at a clinic in the Century Plaza mall in Bangkok on Monday afternoon has been arrested by police in Phetchaburi province.
Danusorn Numcharoen was apprehended in the early hours of Tuesday morning according to Police Colonel Krishna Pattanacharoen, deputy spokesman of the Royal Thai Police.
Piyanut Chatthai was shot 3 or 4 times in the head and body in the Icon Clinic on the fourth floor of Century Plaza mall on Phaya Thai Road just after 3pm on Monday.
A 29-year-old female co-worker was also injured in the shooting and rushed to hospital with a gunshot wound.
Reports say the couple had recently divorced after ten years of marriage with Danusorn jealous Piyanut had met a new partner.
Jealousy is thought to be the motive for the shooting.
