Scottish Drug Dealer Busted In Phuket

A Scotsman has been arrested and charged in Phuket for possession of marijuana following a crackdown by police in and around Patong.

32-year-old Christopher Blackwood was caught with 1.2 grams of marijuana and was paraded at a police press conference with four Thai nationals who were also busted for various drug offences.

Blackwood was charged with illegal possession of a Category 5 drug and sent to the cells awaiting a court appearance..

Frenchman charged transporting counterfeit banknotes Thailand

Meanwhile, a 59-year-old Frenchman was charged with transporting counterfeit banknotes into Thailand, possession and intention to use counterfeit banknotes.

Rene Louis Regrault was nabbed by Tourist Police after he tried to pass the fake 100 Euro notes to an eagle-eyed employee at a money exchange booth on Soi Bangla.

Regrault denied any knowledge of the cash being fake claiming he’d brought the money from France believing it to be real.

Cops weren’t buying his story and charged him. He was remanded in custody pending a court appearance.
