Six Foreigners Arrested With Fake Visas And Passports

Five men from India and another from Palestine have been arrested as they attempted to leave Thailand using fake passports and visas.

Pol, Lt. Gen. Sompong Chingduang from the Immigration Bureau told reporters at a press conference that six foreign nationals had been apprehended at Suvarnabhumi Airport as they tried to exit Thailand bound for Canada and Germany.

Four Indians were caught with fake Canadian visas bound for Toronto on a flight with Philippine Airlines. Another Indian man was arrested with a fake Singapore passport attempting to travel to Canada with China Airlines.

All five told Immigration Police they’d purchased their fake documents for 30,000 baht through a Nepalese middleman.

The sixth man, from Palestine, was arrested using a fake United Arab Emirates passport attempting to travel to Germany.

All six were remanded in custody pending further legal proceedings.
