Skytrain To Lat Phrao Coming In August

The operators of the BTS Skytrain began tests on the Sukhumvit Line northern extension to Ha Yaek Lat Phrao station on Saturday, saying it should be open to the public by mid-August.

Teams of engineers were on hand as electrics and signalling were put to the test with an empty train running up and down the line to the first station on the new extension at Lat Phrao.

Further testing will be carried out each day until August 11th. Then Mo Chit will no longer be the end of the line when the service opens to the public.

Rides to Ha Yaek Lat Phrao station will initially be free with further details on ticketing and dates coming up Monday at a press conference.
