Speeding Scotsman Cracks Skull In Fatal Phuket Motorcycle Wreck

A Scottish man is dead after revving and ploughing his high-powered motorcycle into a power pole in Phuket.

The unidentified 32-year-old said to be from Stornoway, Outer Hebrides, died of a cracked skull, broken neck and a broken arm in the Thursday night wreck on Chalong’s famous “boxing street”, Soi Ta-iad.

It was not disclosed whether he was in training there nor if he was wearing a helmet.

Witnesses reported that, before the crash, the speeding Scotsman had revved the engine of his Kawasaki Ninja 250SL before losing control of the two-wheeler and barrelling into the utility pole head-on.
