Farrangs get a bad rap in Thailand, so it was only natural a former cosmetics salesman would use his skills to dress up as a foreigner to rob a Bangkok gold shop.
Wongsakorn Petchsanan, 30, thought no one would suspect him if he put on a big silicone nose he created, a fake bear and blue contact lenses to rip off the Aurora gold shop at Big C Bangbuathong.
Unfortunately for the “westerner”, he didn’t add a big western motorcycle to his escape plan. Security guards easily captured him as he tried to hop on a motorbike taxi.
Wongsakorn has strolled into the gold shop Monday morning and asked to see four necklaces weighing a total 5-baht-weight and worth 471,600 baht.
