Three Foreign Fraudsters Arrested In Pattaya

Pattaya police have arrested three foreigners suspected of fraud seizing counterfeit banknotes and fake credit cards.

A Russian and Kazakhstan national were arrested at a department store after staff became suspicious and alerted cops the pair were likely using fake credit cards to make purchases.

Following a quick search of their possessions soon uncovered incriminating evidence of their scam and the pair were taken into custody.

In a separate investigation into reports of fake 1,000 baht notes being passed to vendors, a 33-year-old Bulgarian was arrested and found to have two note similar to the fakes police were already aware of.

He was also carrying an unspecified amount of fake credit cards too.

The Pattaya police chief warned business owners to be on the lookout for more funny money suggesting there was more in circulation or other members of the gang still on the loose.
