Turkish Tourist Falls Five Floors To His Death From Bangkok Hotel

A 31-year-old Turkish man fell to his death from the fifth floor balcony of a Bangkok hotel in the early hours of Tuesday morning, according to police.

Officers from Lumpini Police Station were called to an unnamed hotel located on Lang Suan Road in the Pathumwan district of the city just before 1am to find the body of Kadir Kemal Ozan laid in the grounds already dead.

The wife of Mr Ozan told officers they only arrived in Thailand on Sunday with their baby and the family had went for a night out Monday.

She said her husband was drunk when they returned to the hotel and as she tended to their baby he stepped out on to the balcony.

A short time later Mrs Ozan heard a sound and she ran out only to see her husband falling to the ground. She cried for help but it was too late.

An officer from Lumpini police told reporters the body had been sent to King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital’s Institute of Forensic Medicine for an autopsy and the Turkish embassy informed, adding they planned to question the grieving widow again at a later stage.
