Two Injured In Botched Demolition Job On Sukhumvit Rd

Two people were injured on Saturday afternoon when the front of a five-storey building being demolished on Sukhumvit Soi 95 collapsed.

The two passers-by were taken to Kluai Nam Thai Hospital for treatment after being hit by flying concrete, according to Phra Khanong police.

The site was originally the Bang Chak fresh market and witnesses said workers were using backhoes to take down the remaining structure when it suddenly came crashing down.

The area was later fenced off to allow investigators to get to the bottom of the botched demolition.
