23 passengers were taken to hospital where two children, a 12-year-old boy and a six-year-old girl from Russia, died a short time later.

Despite eyewitnesses blaming the Panan 5 boat for causing the crash, the captains of both boats have been charged with reckless driving causing deaths and injuries.
