Two Taiwanese Tourists Killed In Motorbike Accident

Two Taiwanese tourists were killed at the weekend when a car ran into the back of their motorbike in Lampang province, according to police.

Emergency services arrived at the scene of the accident in Hang Chat district just after 6pm on Saturday to find one female in her 20s already dead and a young male seriously injured.

The injured man was pronounced dead at Hang Chat Hospital a short time later.

Thai news report the accident happened on a downhill curve on the Lampang-Chiang Mai Road near the Thai Elephant Conservation Centre with conditions described as “slippery” due to earlier rain.

The driver of the sedan was taken to the local station for further questioning and possible charges.
