Unconscious Driver Ploughs Into Morning Traffic Killing Two

The scene this morning in Pattaya was one of carnage when the driver of a pickup took a seizure and ploughed into oncoming traffic killing two, and injuring at least 15 others.

It’s been reported by both Thai and English language media the man, identified as Akaradej Udomrat, 44, was confirmed to have given a negative blood sample when tested for alcohol and medical records show he has a history of epilepsy.

He told police he sneezed and passed out only realising the devastation he’d caused when he came to on the footpath having been pulled from his pickup by an angry mob who believed he was drunk.
