Time has been called on happy endings at a popular Ratchada massage parlour after a three month undercover operation came to a head on Tuesday afternoon when the glorified brothel was raided and subsequently shutdown.
Over 100 soldiers, cops and officials from various government agencies descended upon Nataree Massage on Ratchadaphisek Road at around 4pm on Tuesday finding around 100 women offering sexual services on the premises.
Of the 100 sex workers, several were found to be under the age of 18 and a further ten were discovered to be foreign nationals.
One of the most interesting pieces of evidence uncovered was a log of tea money payments made by the owners to various parties that has now been passed to the Bureau of Legal Affairs for further investigation together with a logbook of daily takings.
Around 115 people were arrested during the raid brought about following complaints from various organisations including the Christian-based anti-trafficking NGO Nvader.
During questioning the manager told officials he had been running the massage parlour for over a year and that there were some 400 women on the books that worked in rotation.
When pressed on the tea money payments, he refused to answer any questions.
All involved were charged with various offenses related to prostitution and human-trafficking and the massage parlour permanently shutdown.
