Young Brit Badly Hurt In Samui Waterfall Plunge

A young British holidaymaker is recovering in a Bangkok hospital after falling 80 meters when he slipped and fell down Na Muang Waterfall in Ko Samui.

Luke Scott, 20, from Wigton in Cumbria, fractured his skull, broke an ankle, his jaw, cheekbone, eye socket and several ribs as well as losing five teeth after hitting several rocks in the fall.

The young Brit was less than a week into a 16-day holiday with five friends when they took a tour on Saturday when Luke slipped on a wet rock high up the waterfall.

His friends said he hit rocks three times during the fall.

He was initially treated at a local hospital before being transferred to a Bangkok hospital where he now awaits clearance from doctors to fly home with a friend.
