Day of the Dead History:
Have you ever wondered about life after death? Have you ever wondered if you would ever meet your beloved ones, who already passed away, again?
Even though nobody knows the true answer, in Mexico people believe that people never leave, they simply move to another land, the land of the dead, and that once a year, they come back home to visit their family. This celebration of the beloved ones that passed away takes places every 1st and 2nd of November each year as the “Day of the Dead” or “Día de Muertos”. Favorite food, drinks and mementos will be prepared in a beautifully decorated alter, surrounded by marigold flowers, mystic symbols and aromas. This is the Mexican way to let the dead know that they have never been forgotten.
