The Search Mission In Northern Thailand Dominates Thai News
The search for 12 boys and their soccer coach in a flooded cave complex in northern Thailand this past week has dominated not only mainstream news but also every last one of the biggest and most popular social media channels I follow.
The blanket coverage is understandable as the country prays all 13 are found alive as rescue teams and expert cavers from around the world assist in the search.
For a website like Stickboy, this type of news story is best left to the experts on the ground in Tham Luang where they have first hand information to share as developments happen.
One drawback is that with all eyes on this story not much else is being reported, talked about or shared, especially on social media where I source many of the updates for the News, Viral, Photo and Video categories here on the website plus the usual Facebook and Twitter daily updates.
I don’t expect much to change in the next few days as the endless efforts of those involved continue in a bid to find the youngsters and their coach alive.
So if things have been a little slow around here and on social media, now you know why.
