Published

on

Elephants take part in a ceremony marking Mother’s Day in Thailand on August 12 at the Nong Nooch Botanical Gardens in Pattaya.

One elephant kneeled as it placed flowers below a portrait of the Queen Mother, whose birthday heralds the annual event, which is also a public holiday.

Another elephant patted a baby on the head in colourful scenes that additionally included several more elephants, dancers and a parade.
