The Robot Building In Bangkok
This 20-storey building in Bangkok that houses a banking firm looks like a giant toy robot.
It was built in 1985 to become the Bank of Asia’s headquarters and has become one of the most iconic landmarks in the capital along with the Elephant building.
Architect Sumet Chumsai Na Ayutthaya, 81, designed it after the firm’s request to build a structure that will reflect the computerization of banking. The national artist said he had the idea for the design after seeing his son’s toy where the inspiration came from.

Did He Not Notice?
A pickup pulling a trailer full of hay on fire was caught on camera speeding down a road in Ubon Ratchathani earlier this month.
The driver said he didn’t stop as it wasn’t safe due to being close to a school.
He said the fire might have been caused by new tyres he’d just fitted earlier in the day.
