Backhoe Driver Goes On A Wrecking Spree, Pushes Police Pickup Into Canal
Smartphone footage capturing the moment the driver of a backhoe went on a wrecking spree, pushing a police pickup blocking his way into a canal has been widely shared on social media over the past 24 hours.
Facebook user Adul Kon Suan Sa broadcast the action live on Sunday afternoon as it unfolded on Khlong 10 Road heading to Charoenkun Market in Pathum Thani Province.
Cops from Nong Suea Police Station were trying to prevent the driver from moving his machine any further when he lost the plot and started swinging the backhoe around throwing dirt on the road as he aimed at officers.
Next thing you know he’s smashing a police pickup that he pushes into a canal running along the roadside.
He then “makes off” at about 10 miles per hour down the road in a bid to evade capture.
Thairath reported officers shot out the controls to bring him to a stop before coaxing him out of his cabin to take him in for questioning and no doubt a lengthy list of charges including the destruction of police property and endangering the lives of law enforcement officers.

Lonely Cats Get A Cuddle From Zookeepers As Covid Kills Tourism In Thailand
This is the heartwarming moment lonely tigers received hugs and cuddles from zookeepers after Covid-19 decimated tourism in Thailand.
Footage shows loving staff interacting with the animals at the Tiger Kingdom in Chiang Mai province earlier this month.
Since the coronavirus travel ban was put in place last March, the Tigers have had less human contact as fewer people had been visiting the zoo.
So to keep the big cats happy, tiger-keepers took them out to have showers, scrub them, brush their fur, and cuddle with them.
Zoo manager Pirom Jantama said: ‘A lot of these tigers are lonely due to the lack of tourists, if there are no tiger-keepers around, some of them start to cry and feel sad.’
More than 50 tigers are living in the zoo with different breeds including Bengal, Siberian, and Cheetahs ranging from seven months to seven-years-old.
Some of the popular tigers at the zoo are Buay, Bank, Chetar, Nammon and Namo, all of which receive regular cuddles from their keepers.

Beauty Pageant Takes Place In Front Of Empty Arena Due To Covid-19 Restrictions
This is the bizarre moment a beauty pageant was held without any audience due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Only the judges and some reporters were allowed to attend the 2021 Miss Chiang Mai pageant held last week.
Chairs were placed for hundreds of guests but were left empty as authorities fear the spreading of coronavirus.
The glamorous contestants answered questions and gave speeches to an almost deserted hall devoid of the usual cheering.
Even though there were no crowds, the event went live on Facebook so that people could still vote for their favourites.
At the end of the event, 22-year-old Pharmacy graduate Chonnikarn Pityaporn was crowned Miss Chiang Mai.
She said: ‘It’s still a special day for me even though there were no friends or family here to enjoy the moment with me.’
