Biker Clotheslined By Builders Carrying Girder

The painful moment a motorcycle rider was clotheslined by workers carrying metal girders across the road caught on CCTV has been doing the rounds on social media.

The man was travelling along the highway in Narathiwat, southern Thailand on June 3 when the unexpected hazard emerged in his path.

CCTV footage shows the two builders holding the long metal bars as they wait for vehicles to pass.

However, while there were halfway to the other side a motorcycle came hurting towards them and failed to notice the construction equipment.

The worker at the back tried lifting the bar at the last second before impact but it was not enough to prevent the motorcycle rider from being clotheslined.

The injured motorcyclist was checked by the workers who called an ambulance and visited him at the hospital.

The police said the injured motorbike rider and the builders would have to discuss the accident and sort out any compensation between themselves.

Police Colonel Suthavet Thareethai said: “I have watched the video of the crash and it’s quite clear that it was an accident.

Ferris Wheel Full Of Passengers Goes Haywire

Smartphone footage capturing the terrifying moment a Ferris wheel full of passengers went haywire at a carnival in Sakon Nakhon has gone viral.

The attraction started spinning out of control and jolting back-and-forth on Sunday night (September 20).

Footage shows how the panicked operator climbed onto the 40ft high machine to try and bring it under control.

He’s seen in the video scampering between the metal bars while trying to use his body weight to stop the movement back and forth.

Fairground-goers clung onto their gondolas as the normally placid ride changed into a white-knuckle thrill.

The operator eventually managed to bring the ride to a stop. He blamed a rainstorm earlier in the evening for interfering with the electricity cables.

The Special Tourist Visa

The Thai Cabinet has approved in principle a proposal by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports to grant a special tourist visa (STV) for long-staying visitors.

Visitors can stay in the country for 90 days, which can be extended twice, each for a further 90 days. The visa will cost 2,000 baht and the same again for each 90-day extension.

Those are the words from TAT, and it sounds simple, right?

Well, you’d like to think so but #AmazingThailand strikes again and getting your hands on one of these new visas is as complicated as complicated gets.

With all the hoops you have to jump through you might be left with the impression they don’t really want tourists to come just yet.

An infograph was widely shared on Monday that showed the application process for what it is – a nightmare.

Today we now have a video going through all the steps shown on the infograph as if it being on video format is going to make it any easier to understand and foillow.

The Terrible Tattoo

Days after a photo of a terrible tattoo went viral, the artist who inked it and the woman left with the dreadful drawing on her back are still having an online war of words much to the amusement of social media users.

The story started when a woman went to a local tattoo shop in Nakhon Sri Thammarat leaving more than a little disappointed with her new body art as she claims it looked nothing like the sketch the tattooist was supposed to copy.

She shared the photo online slamming the shoddy work and before you know it the drama had made the national news.

The man responsible for the tattoo said it was a good effort and the woman should shut up as he has hundreds if not thousands of satisfied customers.

She responded by saying that was impossible and his work was a disaster.

Over the past few days, the wars of words and back and forth between the two has continued with both ramping up the insults and abuse.

Many have been following the online agro and sharing the story bringing even more attention to it.

If this doesn’t end up with a sit down between the two down at the cop shop I’ll be surprised.
