Cabbie Still Wants Paid After Taxi Bursts Into Flames

Despite his cab being a total write-off, a Bangkok taxi driver was blazing mad that a passenger had legged it without paying after the car burst into flames.

Emergency services were called out to Pathum Wan District just after 2am on Wednesday morning to extinguish a blazing taxi.

It took firefighters around 15 minutes to extinguish the blaze that left the Toyota totaled.

The 50-year-old driver told local media that he was carrying a fare when he noticed flames coming from under the bonnet, prompting him to speed off a bridge to safety, park up and run to get help.

However, his biggest gripe wasn’t his wrecked cab, rather the fact his passenger ran off without paying the fare.
