Farrang Accused Of Locking Up Workers In Cages At Kennels

A foreigner was slaughtered online after he was accused of locking up several Thai employees at a kennel he owns and operates in Buriram following a disagreement.

The story was posted to a popular Thai Facebook page alleging the farrang, named in the news only as Michael, locked up four workers without food and water after a dispute.

Several news outlets paid a visit to the kennels to get to the bottom of the story and were told by the owner’s wife that it wasn’t true and nobody had been locked up, although she did admit her husband had a short fuse and often lost the plot with staff members whom he felt weren’t doing their job properly.

Michael’s wife went on to tell reporters that staff were well paid earning at least 10,000 baht per month and asked why the police weren’t involved if such wrongdoing had taken place.
