Hazardous Handrail Causes Internet Uproar
Social media went into meltdown over the past 24 hours after photos of a flimsy sign warning pedestrians not to touch the handrail on an overpass went viral.
The sign warned of possible electric shocks from touching the metal handrail on the bridge located on Borommaratchachonnani Soi 68 in Thawee Wattana district in Bangkok.
For those who can’t read Thai it was also written in English but so small you would need a magnifying glass to see it.
The Metropolitan Electricity Authority said the problem was not from their wiring but likely other cables coming into contact with the handrail.

Cannabis Craze Sweeping Thailand
Thailand now has one of the world’s most liberal marijuana regimes.
The country legalised cultivating and consuming cannabis in June, reversing a hard-line approach of long prison sentences or even the death penalty for drug offences.
The regime has sparked off a boom in weed-related businesses hoping to cash in on a new customer base.
The BBC’s South East Asia correspondent Jonathan Head reports on what’s behind the dramatic change.

Food Park At Big C Ratchadamri Is Dead Without Chinese Tourists
Photos of the Food Park located at Big C on Ratchadamri Road in Bangkok looking like a ghost town have been widely circulated on social media over the past 24 hours.
Of course, food courts are currently closed in Bangkok due to the government order, however, this has been the scene since last April.
Normally the Big C Superstore would be packed from open until close with thousands of Chinese tourists passing through its doors every hour.
The Ratchadamri branch was the companies flagship store making more money than any other in Thailand.
The overflow reached every part of the complex including the Food Park which just like the supermarket, was packed from morning until night.
Now, with restrictions on entering Thailand still in place, both are deserted and like a ghost town.
