Pata Zoo

After a member of the popular Thai website pantip.com shared photos from a recent trip to the obscenity that is Pata Zoo, its owners are back in the spotlight and still churning out feeble excuses for the disgusting conditions the animals are kept in.

The state of disrepair the shopping mall zoo is kept in was also highlighted as safety hazards for visitors included holes in the wooden path around the aviary, broken and cracked glass on the snake boxes some of which were left unlocked.

Photos were also shared of the filthy bear cave that looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in months.

Surprisingly, there was no mention of Bua Noi, the caged gorilla who has been living in squalor for three decades on top of the Pinklao mall.

Management told a Thai news team repairs are being carried out and the broken walkway closed to the public… this from the people who tell us the animals are happy, healthy and kept in good conditions.

Phone Booths Converted Into Covid-19 Test Stations

Old unused TOT phone booths are being converted into Covid-19 test kiosks to be used at hospitals in Surin province.

Footage shows the TOT phone booths repurposed with safety equipment so they can be used by medical workers to interact with potential coronavirus patients.

Surin provincial governor Kraisorn Kongchalad said that even though the province has no active cases, they still need to be prepared.

He said: “Our province has not found a new patient in the last 45 days thanks to the cooperation of the people and the hardworking medical staff.”

However, being careful would not hurt anyone and fortunately, TOT also wanted to offer help on this.
