Locals Save Hundreds Of Fish After Lorry Loses Its Load

The smartphone footage below captures the frantic moment locals battled to scoop up two tonnes of fish to save them from dying after a delivery truck crashed.

The lorry was driving to shops after a rain storm when it skidded on the wet road and overturned in Krabi at the weekend.

The vehicle was carrying 4,400 lbs (2.2 tonnes) of cat fish which spilt onto the road along with ice and water.

Locals gathered as many as they could and put them in a bucket while waiting for the emergency services to arrive. Onlooker Khun Surapong was impressed by the kindness of residents who came to help because no one stole the fish.
