Nazi-Themed Room At Nonthaburi Love Hotel Causes Uproar

Foreign media outlets have reported the anger of some tourists after a love hotel in Nonthaburi used photos of Adolf Hitler on the wall of one of its themed rooms.

The Jerusalem Post and The Sun in UK went to town on the story quoting Rabbi Abraham Cooper, associate dean and director of Global Social Action for the Simon Wiesenthal Center, as saying that Bangkok is a major international tourist destination and there is no excuse for any establishment in any civilized country to turn Hitler into a motif for a hotel room.

“We expect that Thai authorities will move swiftly to either close the establishment,” Cooper said, “or demand that such a room be redesigned immediately.”

The Sun went one further with a quote from a “furious Jewish tourist” which I’ll skip as I have a feeling the quote is fiction, like many of the others the UK red tops publish with Thai related stories.

The unnamed hotel not only has a Nazi themed room but also Japanese, Indian, cowboys, Hollywood, and a few movie based themes such as The Matrix and Spiderman.
