Australian Man Didn’t Sell His Kidney In Thailand To Buy A New Land Cruiser

Australian Phillip Hill has revealed he didn’t actually sell one of his kidneys in Thailand so he could buy a brand new Land Cruiser after his joke went viral around the world on social media.

The Aussie butcher claimed on a Facebook post, that has been shared 26,000 times since Wednesday, that he’d sold a kidney in Thailand for $60,000 dollars so he could buy a new Toyota.

“When you need lots of money for a new cruiser, just sell a kidney. They give you $60,000 in Thailand. I’ve got one left so all good.”

Hill told a local reporter in his homeland the idea came to him after butchering a lamb for a client. He put its kidney in a blue surgical bowl, sourced from a friend who works in a hospital, and added images taken during a recent gastroscopy.

Then he added some photos of him next to his new Toyota LandCruiser which he said gave him the perfect punchline.

So you can stop sending me links and sharing the post around Facebook. Phillip was having you all on.
