A postman had an unusual surprise while delivering letters – he had to catch a huge python.
Sarayuth Boonrod, 26, was working in Samut Prakan when local monks called for help snaring the 16ft long snake.
The postie rushed to assist and caught the reptile, which had a visible bulge on its body believed to be a cat. With the help of residents, they removed the 74lbs serpent without it causing any more damage.
Sarayuth said: “I have been working as a postman for six years. I also volunteer with the rescue service. When the monks needed help I decided to bring friends from the post office because the snake was enormous”.
The python was released back into nearby woodland.
